Honda file

The CB-1 was a naked 400 cc four built around a midrange-tuned version of the CBR400RR's engine, sitting in a steel twin-spar frame. Honda pitched it as a versatile all-rounder, and testers loved its smooth engine, light steering and comfortable riding position, while criticising the soft fork, bump-sensitive shock and tiny fuel tank. It sold slowly in the US, where leftover 1990 bikes were still being discounted in 1992.
